What is the hardest trade in construction?

Consumers and contractors agreed that roof construction and demolition are the most physically demanding occupations. And although contractors voted carpentry as the third most physically demanding profession, it was only among the ten most demanded by consumers. A new survey among contractors and consumers revealed that roof construction is perceived as the most physically demanding construction sector, while electrical work seems to be the most difficult to master. Meanwhile, 20% of consumers surveyed considered roof construction to be the most physically demanding and 38% said electrical work seemed to be the most difficult to master.

Both contractors and consumers ranked roofing and demolition as the most physically demanding occupations. Thirteen percent of contractors said that roof construction was the most demanding job and 23% answered that electrical work was the most difficult to master.
